March 23, 1964MESERVEY, IA- -- William H. Koehler, 93, the oldest resident of Meservey, died Saturday [Mar. 21, 1964] at a Rockwell Nursing Home. He had lived in this community 70 years. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical United Brethren Church here. The Rev. Clive Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Meservey Cemetery with Johnston Funeral Home in charge. Surviving are four sons, Herbert, Kanawha; Walter, Meservey; Raymond, Rudd; Gilbert, Meservey; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Hammond, Hayfield, Minn.; Mrs. Edna Lauen, Goodell; Mrs. Viola Bredlow, Garner; a brother, Henry, Watertown, Wis.; a sister, Mrs. Lydia Koster, Traer.
