November 16, 1859 -- September 30, 1938

Mrs. Charles W. Housman, Darwin [Minnesota] town resident, died early Thursday morning at the home of her son Maynard Housman, after an illness of four months because of heart disease and complications. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Dewey E. Johnson funeral chapel and burial will be made in Ripley cemetery. Rev. E. W. Marshall will officiate. Six sons will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Housman was born in Illinois November 16, 1859, and resided in that state until her marriage. She and her husband and family resided at Clarion, Iowa, and later at Elmore, Minnesota, removing to Meeker county 20 years ago. Surviving are the husband, C. W. Housman, and the following children, Alva A., Maynard, Floyd, Clifford, and Lloyd in Litchfield, Mrs. Roy Baughman in Michigan, Mrs. Irvin Engleson at Grove City, John H. in Forest City and Glen V. Housman at Brainard. A brother, Barney Jones, resides at Ottumwa, Iowa.
