Patricia "Patty" Miltenberger, 55, died January 17, 2009. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Andrews Funeral Home in Belmond with a prayer service at 8 p.m. A Rosary Prayer will be recited Thursday, January 22 at 5 p.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cedar Falls with visitation from 5:30-7:30 p.m. A wake service will be held from 7:30-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, January 23 at St. Patrick's. Visitation will take place for one hour prior to the service.

Patricia Rose was born July 12, 1953 in Waterloo to Michael and Audrey (Jochum) Miltenberger. She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1971. Her son Jason was born three years later. In 1985 she moved to Greene where she lived for seven years before returning to Waterloo. Patty was employed by John Deere in Waterloo for 31 years. After retiring in July 2008 she moved to Belmond to be close to her son Jason, his wife Michele and her grandchildren. Patty was always willing to give of herself. Volunteering and serving others was dear to her heart. She worked with Habitat for Humanity and made mission trips to Excel Commons in Mississippi. She was a dedicated golfer, designed websites, was an avid bird watcher and nature observer. Her favorite pasttime was being with her grandchildren and spoiling them with candy. She took her family to Disney World in October.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents; sister Mary Trumbauer; infant brother Michael, Jr.; and infant niece Becky Jo. Survivors include her son Jason (Michele) and their children Connor, Amanda and Colin of Belmond; brothers Joe (Jan) Miltenberger, Paul Miltenberger, Tim (Dianne) Miltenberger and John (Krystyna) Miltenberger; and sisters Helen (Stanley) Thoms, Cecilia (Larry) Richards and Mickey (Robert) Burkholder; numerous nieces and nephews.
