WILLIAMS, IA - Craig A. Boyington, 57, of Williams, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009 at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. A Memorial Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Williams, with Rev. Scott Boone presiding. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center in Webster City.

Craig Allyn Boyington, son of Allen and Maribeth Norris Boyington was born August 11, 1951 in Fort Dodge. He received his education and graduated from Dows High School in 1970. On Feb. 6, 1970 Craig married Susan Draper. The marriage ended in 1980. On July 22, 1983, he married Lynn T. Smith in Clarion. The couple resided in Dows. They moved to Williams in 1985. Mrs. Boyington died July 2, 2001. On Jan. 26, 2006, he married Brenda Olmstead in Webster City. The couple continued to reside in Williams. Craig retired, due to poor health, after working for the D.O.T. shop in Williams for the past 29 years.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda of Williams; daughters, Jenni Boyington (Bradley) of Cedar Rapids; Stephanie Boyington (Butch) of Dows; son, Chad (Darci) Boyington of Klemme; parents, Allen and Maribeth Boyington of Rowan; step children, Patrick (Jessi) Olmstead of Webster City; Amanda Olmstead (Dave) of St. Louis Park, Minn.; granddaughters, Ashlynn and Jenna of Dows; brother and sister-in-law, Thad and Nancy Boyington of Hampton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Becky and Randy Richards of Andrews, Texas; Kim and Ed Swansen of Goodell; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his previous wife Lynn Boyington. His grandparents and other relatives.

Craig was the local union steward for AFSCME 61, for many years. He enjoyed car racing, collecting hit and miss engines and other old farm equipment. Craig also enjoyed the outdoors, tractor rides, and anything else that he could tear apart and put back together better than new.
