Marie Thomason, the daughter of Haldor and Alette (Aarthun) Thomason, was born on March 30, 1920, in Aakre, Norway. She moved to Mankato in 1938. Marie worked in Mankato as a clerical worker for many years. Marie was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Marie passed away on Friday, January 2, 2009, at CareAge of Clarion, Iowa, at the age of 88 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and twin sister, Gunhild “Gwen” Thomason. Graveside services will be held Monday, January 5, 2009, 3:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove, Iowa.
