Hans Hanson, respected citizen of Dix Twp., departed this life on Sunday morning at the Norwegian-American Hospital, where two weeks before he had undergone an operation. Mr. Hanson had been ailing for nearly three years and an operation was resorted to as a last means of prolonging his life. At the time of his death he was 77 years of age. Besides the wife he leaves four sons and two daughters. His sons are Henry and Martin, of Eagle Grove, Ia.; Lant of Nebraska, and Thomas of Elliott. At the time of his death his daughter, Mrs. Thorsen, and his sons, Thomas and Lant were at his bedside. Funeral services were conducted yesterday at the home and at the Pontoppidan Lutheran Church of which the deceased was a faithful member, Rev. H.A. Gaardsmoe officiated.
