December 25, 1910 -- September 19, 2008

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Craig Alwin officiating. Interment will be held in North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Dorothy Pingel, the daughter of Frank and Margaret (Carroll) Pingel, was born December 25, 1910. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1928 and received a teaching degree from Drake University. On December 25, 1932 she was united in marriage to Reid Lynn. She lived in Vincent, Badger and in later years Fort Dodge. Dorothy taught country school for 9 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and past member of the Badger Ladies group. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Reid in 1987, her parents and her sister Margaret Lynn. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Robert Kirchner of Fort Dodge, her granddaughter Angela (Terry) Frekes of Manson, and her brother Eugene (Mildred) Pingel of Vincent. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
