Mrs. Doc Sutton, 79, of 1801 S. Evergreen died yesterday at Nesho Memorial Hospital following an illness of several months. She had lived here 36 years. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Schoolcraft, she was born Feb 9, 1890, at Renwick, Iowa. She married Dockie Clarence Sutton at Burlington, Nov. 1, 1909. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors are her husband, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Wilma) Burdick, 1801 S. Evergreen, and Mrs. Ernest (Jennie) Franklin, Wichita; one son Virgil Sutton, Bremerton, Washington; two sisters, Mrs. Carl (Zelma) Hetzel, Waverly, and Mrs. Neal (Mildred) Todd, Walla Walla, Washington; two brothers, Deward Schoolcraft, Haiti and Arthur Schoolcraft, Yakima, Washington; six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Johnson Chapel with the Rev. Dale Sneeringer officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

March 18, 1969Memorial service for Mrs. Doc (Mable Rose) Sutton was Monday afternoon in Johnson Chapel with the Rev. Dale Sneeringer officiating. Mrs. Ray J. Hutchison, soloist, was accompanied by Mrs. Hazel Slane. Floral attendants were Mrs. Richard Worley, Mrs. Ernest Wiles, Mrs. Louesa Howell and Mrs. Pearl Casebier. Bearers were Bill Burghart, Francis Kirby, James Radar, Ricahrd Clark, Gary Norton and Stuart Martin. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
