Dean L. Medgaarden, 78, of Oklahoma City, passed away Dec. 13, 2008. He was born March 9, 1930, in Kanawha, Iowa, to Leonard "Dooley" and Grace Esther (Hanson) Medgaarden. He is preceded in death by both of his parents "Dooley'' and Esther Medgaarden. He is survived by his wife Zola D. of 57 years, his 2 sons, Douglas L., his wife Kathy of Yukon, Jeffrey L. of Rio Rancho NM and grandchildren, Matthew Medgaarden and his wife Elizabeth Ross of West Grove PA, Alex Medgaarden and his wife Kassie of Yukon OK and Zachary Radebaugh of Yukon OK. Dean attended Kanawha High School, Kanawha Iowa and The University of Iowa and earned his MBA from Pepperdine University in California. He spent 4 years in the Air Force during the Korean War. Dean worked for MPI (Seagate) where he was the Plant Manager for Bldg 5 at Reno and Meridian. He was Vice President of Operations for Premier Computer Corp. Besides being with his family, he enjoyed baseball, golf and was a Ham Radio Operator with the call sign K60IT. Services for Dean will be at 2:00 PM Fri. December 19, 2008 at Buchanan Funeral Home, 8712 N Council, Okla. City, OK 73132.
