EAGLE GROVE — Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Samuel Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Foust Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Robert "Bob" Leroy Linn, 77, of Eagle Grove, died on Sunday, January 7, 2007, at the Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. Funeral services were held at held at 10 am on Wednesday, January 10, 2007, at the Samuel Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove with Pastor Stan Peterson officiating.
Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Linn of Eagle Grove; children: Alan Linn and wife Connie of Eagle Grove, Jeff Linn of Eagle Grove, Gail Christensen and husband Larry of Eagle Grove and Beth Linn of Eagle Grove; 7 grandchildren: Erica Thorson and husband Tim of Des Moines, Anita Hadley and husband John of Rochester, MN, Matthew Linn of Eagle Grove, Jon Sampson of Goldfield, Joel Sampson of Goldfield, Derrick Linn and wife Jerri of Coralville and Blair Herrmann of Coralville; one great-grandchild, Raven Welsch-Herrmann; two sisters, Bemice Trausch and husband Richard of Belmond and Carol Watts and husband Leland of Clarion, one brother, Jerold Linn and wife Sharon of Clarion and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Teems and an infant daughter.

Robert Leroy Linn, the son of Lawrence L. and Emma (Christiansen) Linn, was born March 18, 1929, in Lowden, Iowa. The family moved to Eagle Grove in 1941, where he completed his education, graduating from Eagle Grove High School in 1948. On June 17, 1951, Bob married Ruth Kalkwarf at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Belmond. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove. Before retirement. Bob owned and operated Linn Construction, worked for M&M Livestock for 12 years, and Eagle Car Wash. He served in the Iowa National Guard at Eagle Grove from 1947 until 1954. Bob was an active member of the Samuel Lutheran Church where he served as a trustee, Deacon and President of the congregation. He also enjoyed attending Saturday men's bible study group and delivering meals on wheels. Bob enjoyed gardening, bird watching, fishing, hunting, woodworking and coffee club.

The Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove was in charge of the arrangements.
