Belmond's oldest native citizen, Nellie Luick, 94, died Sunday at Bel Chris Manor nursing home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Luick, 94, a life long Belmond resident, were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Methodist Church with the Rev. M. L. Jones officiating. Burial was in the Belmond Cemetery. The Johnston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Luick, who was Belmond's oldest native citizen, died Sunday at a Belmond nursing home. She was born August 8, 1873 in Belmond to German and Elizabeth Bullis. She was married July 18, 1894 to Willis Luick. Survivors Include three daughters, Mrs. Edith Hill, Belmond; Mrs. Ethyl Tuttle, Clear Lake and Mrs. Emma Watts, Clarion, and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and three sisters.
