January 1962Darla Schroder, 11 year-old daughter of Mitchell Schroder, Galt banker, and Mrs. Schroder, died Saturday at Belmond Community Hospital of cancer. She had a kidney removed in April of 1960, but even the radical surgery and constant medication that followed was unsuccessful of ridding the youngster of the dread disease.
