Robert V. Brayton, the son of Fay M. and Esther (Rummens) Brayton was born April 23, 1929, in Somers, Iowa. He was raised and educated in the area of his birth, attending Vernon Township Schools. Robert enlisted in the US Army in 1949, and was honorably discharged in 1953. Robert married Bonnie Hill on February 1, 1953. To this union three children were born; William (Bill), Minnie (Cindy) and Dale. Robert worked at Electrolux in Webster City from 1953 to 1994. Robert passed away Sunday, November 16, 2008, at his home in Eagle Grove at the age of 79 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Richard.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; his sons, Bill and Dale, and his daughter Cindy; brothers, Jerry of Katy, TX , Allen Dean of Oceanside, CA and Ronald of Dubuque; brothers in law, Bruce Hill of Fort Dodge and Robert Hill of Eagle Grove; sisters in law, Dolly Myers of Eagle Grove and Donna Ferguson of New Richland, MN; several nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home. No Funeral services are planned. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
