May 26, 2005Malfrid "Molly" E. Joberg, 97, of Fort Collins, died Monday, May 23, 2005, at Good Samaritan Retirement Village. A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Good Samaritan Village Chapel, 508 W. Trilby Road. Pastor LeRoy Grim and Pastor Jim Rasmussen will officiate. Private interment of cremains will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Molly Joberg was born June 26, 1907, in Thor, Iowa, the daughter of Knut and Jennie Sandven. She married Nelvin "Jobie" Joberg on Oct. 11, 1939, in Thor, Iowa. Molly and Jobie first moved to Fort Collins in 1946. Jobie was activated for duty during the Korean conflict, and Molly moved back to Iowa for that period. The Jobergs returned to Fort Collins in 1957. Molly worked for several county offices and retired from the Larimer County Clerk's Office in 1974. Molly was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a founding member of the local Sons of Norway Lodge. Molly was an avid china painter and sewed lovely pieces of hardanger work, a Norwegian art form. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Annette and Gus Moutos, of Salinas, Calif. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Good Samaritan Retirement Village in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
