AUSTIN, Minnesota -- Donald L. Hanzlicek, 79, of 700 First Drive N.W. and a retired Geo. A. Hormel & Co. employee, died Sunday morning (Dec. 13, 1992) at his home. He was born July 1, 1913, in Blooming Prairie and graduated from Blooming Prairie High School. On June 11, 1938, he married Marsine Toresdahl [of Eagle Grove, Iowa] at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark of Owatonna; two daughters, Marie (Mrs. Milo) Hofius of Elk River, Minn., and Madonna (Mrs. Joseph) Nitzke of Sioux City, Iowa; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Josephine (Mrs. Robert F.) Hart of Austin.

The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church here, with the Rev. Paul Evers officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Austin. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday today and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Mayer Funeral Home here. The Knights of Columbus rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday today followed by a wake service at 7 p.m.
