Cecil Ray McMannus, 53, of Kansas City, KS, died Sunday, April 21, 2002, at Providence Medical Center. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 25, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 94th and State Ave., Kansas City, KS. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, KS 66102.

Cecil was born October 4, 1948, in Ft. Dodge, IA, and was raised on the family farm in Vincent, IA. He moved to Kansas City in 1966, and had worked for Liberty Fruit Company as a Quality Control Inspector for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lyall McMannus. He is survived by his wife, June McMannus, of the home, three sons, Cecil Alvis and Scott McMannus, both of Kansas City, KS, O'Ryann McMannus, Kansas City, MO, three brothers, Wayne, James, and Kevin McMannus, all of Vincent, IA, and three grandchildren.
