Rosella Edith Hansen, age 96 of Webster City and formerly of Williams died Friday, September 19th, at the Crestview Manor in Webster City. Funeral services will be 10:30AM Wednesday at the Alden Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Buckeye Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 -7 p.m. Tuesday at Surls Funeral Chapel in Williams.
Rosella Edith Hansen was born on June 21, 1912 in Dows, Iowa, the daughter of George and Bessie (Annett) Root. She attended Vernon Twp and Dows High School. On October 20, 1934 she was united in marriage to Herman Hansen in Sandstone, MN. Rosella lived near Williams for 52 years, moved to the Dows Development Apts. on September 1, 1987 and then to a nursing home in Dows, and then the Crestview Manor in Webster City in 2002. Rosella is survived by a sister, Lucille Jackson of Webster City; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and five sisters, Helen Haines, Rhoda Kreitlow, Elsie Foster, Dorothy Cheever and Mable Prescher.
