Gloria D. Stille, 75, of Goodell, died on Sunday, March 5, 2006, at the Belmond Health Care Center.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning, March 8, at the Goodell United Methodist Church, with Pastor Paddy Druhl officiating. Burial was in the Amsterdam Cemetery, east of Goodell.

Gloria was born on January 30, 1931 in Goodell, to Martin H and Clara "Chirstie" Burrs. She graduated from the Goodell High School in 1951, where she played basketball. On September 3, 1955, she married Wayne Stille at the Goodell E.U.B. Church. Together they managed the chicken house east of Goodell, and she also worked at the Kanawha Care Center. They raised a big garden, with Gloria being the "garden supervisor". She thrived on being with, and looking after family. She also enjoyed crocheting and quilting. She was a member of the Goodell United Methodist Church and taught Sunday School and Bible School classes. She enjoyed caring for her "grand-dogs". Gloria went to the Belmond Health Care Center when she was in the late stages of the illness that she suffered from for so long.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; her parents, Martin and Clara; father-in-law, George; brother-in-law, Mac Dresbach; and great-nephew, Andy Rasmussen. Gloria is survived by her sons, Gene, Mark and his wife, Ginger, Steve (Beaver) and Tom all of Goodell; adopted daughter, Lisa Laube and fiancée, Chuck of Boone; grandchildren, Cody and Jessica; brother, John (Sue) Burrs of Corwith; mother-in-law, Ina of Garner; sisters-in-law, Maxine Dresbach of Mason City and Sharyl (Marlin) Stadtlander of Garner; brothers-in-law, Kenton and fiancée, Carol of Poolville, Texas; and Lynn (Jan) of Davenport.
