Alice Mae Lowenberg rites set

Requiem high mass will be celebrated for Mrs. Leonard F. (Alice Mae) Lowenberg, 42, at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Paul J. Maguire will be celebrant. Mrs. Lowenberg died Saturday [September 22, 1962]. She had been night supervisor of the cafeteria at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital many years and made her home at 1020 Maple Drive.

Born Sept. 27, 1919, at Goodell, she was the daughter of Lloyd E. and Anna Mae (Buchanan) Cline. She was married to Leonard F. Lowenberg Sep 28, 1935 at Belmond. Surviving are her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Jolene) Freimuth, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Carl (Kay) Johnson, Tucson, Ariz., and Judy Lowenberg, Waterloo; two sons, Larry Lowenberg, a student at the University of Iowa, and Mark Lowenberg, at home. a grandson, Kirk Johnson, Tucson, Ariz. and her mother Anna Cline Halfpop. Three brothers, Harry and Roger Cline, Mason City, and Dale Cline, St, Paul, Minn., and two sisters Mrs. Kenneth (Ethel) Harrington and Mrs. Bernard (Darlene) Buckland, Honolulu, Hawaii also survive. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother.
