28 July 1903 --- 28 April 1973

James H. Walsh, 69, a longtime Webster City resident, died late Saturday evening [April 28, 1973] at the University hospitals in Iowa City. He had been in ill health the past three months. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic church with Rev. Father Edgar Kurt officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery. A flag-folding ceremony will be conducted by the American Legion. Rosary will be Monday evening at 8 p.m. at the Foster Funeral home, and a scripture service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster Funeral home.

James Harold Walsh, son of James J. and Mary Kelly Walsh, was born July 28, 1903 at Creston, Iowa, where he was reared and educated. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was united in marriage Nov. 21, 1951 to Ida Mae Krieger, and the couple made their home at 819 Elm St. until a year ago when they moved to 1119 Water St. Mr. Walsh was employed at the Williams Drug store until his retirement four years ago.

He is survived by his wife and three sisters, Mrs. A. E. (Lenore) Williams of Webster City, Mrs. E. J. (Elizabeth) Bradley of Creston and Mrs. J. R. (Helen) Pefferle of Des Moines, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic church.
