Barbara Krieger Dies in Iowa City

Barbara Diane Krieger, 10-year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Loren Krieger, of Woolstock, died at 3:45 p.m. yesterday [June 17, 1957] at the University hospital in Iowa City. She had been a patient there the past 11 days. She had been in failing health the past two years. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. Earl V. Nelson, of Vincent, officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.

Barbara Diane Krieger, daughter of Loren and Shirley Krieger, was born Jan. 13, 1947, at Webster City. She attended schools in Webster City as long as her health permitted. She was a student in the fourth grade at the time of her illness and was a member of the honor roll.

She is survived by her parents, one brother, Dennis, two sisters, Linda and Sheryl, all at home; her grandparents, Mrs. Harry Krieger, Webster City, and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Spangler, of Goldfield; three great-grandmothers, Mrs. Joe Mourlam, Woolstock, Mrs. A. E. Spangler and Mrs. Cora Sanders, of California; one great-grandfather, A. E. Spangler; and several aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Harry Krieger. She was baptized in the Methodist faith and was a member of the Methodist church at Woolstock.
