F. F. ALDEN SERVICES TO BE MONDAY

Fredrick Floyd Alden, 62, farmer in the Doughery vicinity for 25 years, died at a Mason City hospital late Thursday evening following a short illness. Mr. Alden was born at Latimer, Dec. 16, 1890, son of Frederick and Anna Alden. He lived in the Latimer vicinity and was married to Elsie Hafermann, who preceded him in death May 3,1933. On Oct. 29, 1937, he was married to Mrs. Ida Peterson, who survives him. He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church of West Fork, a member of the Farm Bureau and the Moose Lodge of Charles City, and he was active in civic and social affairs in the Dougherty area.

Surviving are two sons, and three daughters, Kenneth Alden, Mrs. Worth (Irma) Riggins and Dale and Hartley Alden, of Dougherty, and Mrs. Verne (Selma) Graham, Reinbeck; five grandchildren, and four brothers, Abner of Latimer, Milton of Dows, Orley of Greene, and Wesley of LeRoy, Minn. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday at the Evangelical United Brethren Church at Meservey, with the Rev. J. A. Ogden officiating. A prayer service will be held at the Colonial Funeral Home at Mason City at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Burial will be at the Meservey Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 4:30 p.m. Saturday until the time of service.
