Eddis G. Fall, 89, of Westport died Tuesday at 9:05 a.m. in Decatur County Memorial Hospital, Greens-burg following a long illness. Eddis was born July 1, 1915, in Renwick, Iowa, the son of the late Harvey and Inez (Lamb) Fall. He was raised in Jennings County until he was 12 years old. He moved to Decatur County and had been a resident for 77 years. He graduated from Westport High School in 1934. He was the owner of Fall’s Appliance Sales & Service. He belonged to Westport Baptist Church. On July 1, 1945, in Vernon, he married LaVerne Gibbons. She survives, with sons Richard Fall of Indianapolis and Ronald Fall of Carmel; daughters Judy Parshall of Covington, Ky., and Carolyn DeAngelis of Indianapolis; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was also predeceased by a brother, Stacy Fall.
Visitation is Thursday, 4-7 p.m. in Bass & Gasper Funeral Home at Westport. Funeral is Friday, 10 a.m. in the funeral home, Rev. David A. Scaggs officiating. Burial is in Westport Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Association or the Westport Volunteer Fire Dept. through the funeral home.
