Garden City Telegram, KansasJanet Ann Fisher Anderson, 42, of Garden City and formerly of Gilmore City, Iowa, died Sunday, April 8, 2007, in Garden City. She was born Jan. 23, 1965, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to Darryl and Norma Tjaden Fisher. She lived with her family on a farm near Renwick, Iowa, until they moved to Gilmore City. She attended school at Gilmore City and graduated from Gilmore City-Bradgate High School in 1983. She received her associate's of arts degree in 1985 from Ellsworth Community College, earned her bachelor's of elementary education degree from Buena Vista College in 1988 and received her nursing home administrative certificate in 1999. At the time of her death, she held the position of administrator of Terrace Garden Care Center in Garden City. She enjoyed crafts and sewing, attending church and listening to her music, and had a deep love for her family and her cats.
She was married in May 1988 and that marriage was later dissolved. Survivors include her father and stepmother, Darryl and Alberta Fisher of Pittsburg; a daughter, Deb Brown of Grinnell, Iowa; two sons, Robert Fisher of Brookings, S.D., and John Fisher of Garden City; a grandson; a sister, Jean Culver of Pocahontas, Iowa; and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother; and a brother, Mike Fisher.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt, Iowa. Burial will be in Indian Mound Cemetery, Humboldt. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
