SULLIVAN, ILLINOIS - Emogene B. Cavner, 89, of Sullivan passed away 8:35 a.m. Saturday, June 03, 2006 at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Emogene was born July 17, 1916 in Renwick, IA the daughter of James A. and Athas O. (Newman) Janes. She married Arthur Bullock December 26, 1935 in Sullivan. He preceded her in death October 26, 1965. She then married Lester D. Cavner October 20, 1967 in Puerto Rico. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2003. Emogene is survived by her sons, Roger J. Bullock of Mattoon, Robert R. Bullock of Decatur; step-son, Damon Cavner of Decatur; daughter, Bonnie Spaugh of California; step daughter, Melinda Walker of Billings, MO; sister, Ruby Pickett of Chardon, OH; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Emogene is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
