Webster City- Veda Smeesu, 87, Webster City, died Saturday evening at the Clarion Care Center in Clarion. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Graceland Cemetery in Webster City with Ray Artrip officiating. Relatives and friends are to meet at Foster Funeral Home in Webster City at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Survivors include a nephew, Charles Dayton, Goldfield. Veda May Dayton was born and educated in Webster City. In 1946 she married Taro Smeesu at Webster City, where the couple resided. He died in 1977. She was a member of the Nazarene Church.
