WEATHERFORD, TX - S.J. "Wes" Pieper of Weatherford, a rancher, died Tuesday in an Azle hospital. He was 70. Rosary will be at 7 tonight at White's Funeral Home in Azle. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth.

Mr. Pieper was born in Center, Kan., and had lived in Parker County and Weatherford for 10 years. He was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Weatherford.

Survivors: Two stepdaughters, Nellie I. Emery of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., and Effie O. Davis of Mission Viejo, Calif.; two stepsons, Raymond C. Mears of Amarillo and Willie P. Mears of Santa Barbara, Calif.; two sisters, Esther Lager of Belmond, Iowa, and Ellen Arndorfer of Eagle Grove, Iowa; and 11 grandchildren.
