Julius W. Peetoom, 97, of Springfield, Illinois died Wednesday at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. He was born Dec. 10, 1896, in Belmond, Iowa, the son of Alewyn L. and Mary K. Brand Peetoom. He married Nina E. Thompson in 1925 in Pekin. Mr. Peetoom retired from Illinois Terminal Railroad in 1961. Survivors: wife, Nina E.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside Service: 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oak Ridge Mausoleum, Rev. Gerry Comstock officiating. Bisch and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
