Marshall C. Johnson, age 79, of Hayfield, MN, died Jan. 16, 1998, in Zephyrhills, FL. Preceded in death by parents Martin & Clara (Skouge) Johnson & one brother, Jerome Johnson. Survived by wife Vivian Johnson; son Duane & Sarah Johnson of Byron, MN; daughters Mrs. Lowell (Linda) Heydt of Lake Crystal, MN, Mrs. Mike (Tammy) Stevens of Hayfield, MN, Mrs. Mike (Robin) Brekke, Hartland, MN, & Mrs. Scott (Bridget) Oslund of Lakeville, MN; sister Jeanette Mitas, Hayfield, MN; brother Richard Johnson of Hayfield, MN; & 8 grandchildren. Marshall was born October 3, 1918, in Kanawha, Iowa. He has been a resident of the Hayfield area since 1924. He graduated from Hayfield High School in 1936. Marshall was a farmer and owner and operator of the Marshall Johnson Livestock Company. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hayfield & also served on the church council. Marshall also was on the Ashland Township Board for over 20 years. He was a former member of the Hayfield Lions Club. Funeral service 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 1998, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hayfield, with the Reverend Stephan Sandness officiating. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Hayfield. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, at the VERNON-CZAPLEWSKI FUNERAL HOME in Hayfield, & one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.
