FORT WORTH - Emma F. Corley, a retired clothing inspector for Dickerson & Jenkins Manufacturing Co., died Friday at a Fort Worth hospital. She was 88. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Biggers Funeral Home in Lake Worth. Burial will be in Ash Creek Cemetery in Azle.
Mrs. Corley was born in Goodell, Iowa, and her family traveled with her in a covered wagon to the Fort Worth area when she was 7 months old. She retired from Dickerson & Jenkins in 1960. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed riding and caring for horses. Her husband, Walter Lee Corley, died in the late 1920s after a construction accident while working on the old Lake Worth bridge.
Survivors, all of Fort Worth: Son, Ray P. Corley; daughter, Audrey C. Parker; two sisters, Florence Haley and Millie Markum; and one grandchild.
