Funeral services for Alfred C. Kalvig, 66, of 616 Shaulis Road, who died at 9:30 A.M., Friday of cancer at Allen Memorial Hospital were held at the Locke Funeral Home in Waterloo.
He was born March 18, 1903, at Belmond, and married Milda Dahlstrom March 18, 1920, at Swalesdale. He was a retired machinist, having been employed at the L. H. Schultz Manufacturing Company in Waterloo. Mr. Kalvig was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church. Surviving besides his widow are four sons, Milford of 311 Fremont Street and Leo of 1715 Cedar Terrace Drive, Waterloo and Lester and Melvin of Ionia. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Russell Springmier, of New Hampton, and Mrs. Joseph Mullesch, of 1519 Columbia Street, Waterloo; two brothers, John and Vern Kalvig, both of Northwood, and two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Williamson, of Northwood, and Mrs. Mildred Gilbert, of near Waterloo.
