Mildred Lucille (Bunk) Ausborn the daughter of Dick and Grace (TerHark) Bunk, was born August 4, 1928, at Kanawha, Iowa. She attended Kanawha schools and graduated from the Britt High School. She was united in marriage to Harvey R. Ausborn on March 6, 1953, at the Kanawha Christian Reformed Church. They farmed and had a dairy herd for 37 years southwest of Klemme. She was a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church in Belmond, Church Women's E.L.C.A., the American Legion Auxiliary, Bible Study Group, and Senior Citizens. Mildred had lived in Garner since 1991, and died at her home on Monday, March 15, 1993.

She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Tom (Debra) Johnson, and Mrs. Lloyd (Janice) Bier Jr. both of Garner, IA; sons, Ronald H. Ausborn and his wife Kimberly of Belmond, IA; and Kenneth E. Ausborn and his wife Bonnie of Garner, IA. 9 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harvey, and infant daughter, Diane.
