RIVER OAKS, TX-- Lillian Larson Engel, 88, a retired Castleberry ISD cafeteria worker, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 1999, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Pallbearers: Randy Honeywell, Cory Honeywell, David Engel Jr., Vernon Harris Jr., Paul Winze, Frank Fortin and Sam Plog. Memorials: Trinity Lutheran Church.

Lillian Larson Engel was born June 27, 1911 in Kanawha, Iowa. She left this Christmas Day surrounded by her loving family. She worked for CISD for 24 years and had been a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church since 1943. The family wishes to thank Vitas Hospice for their loving care.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Wilfred H. Engel; granddaughter, Donna Sue Harris; great-grandson, Cory Lee Honeywell; and two brothers, Ralph and Doc Larson. Survivors: Daughter, Patricia Honeywell and husband, Freeman, of River Oaks; son, David L. Engel and wife, Celia, of Lake Worth; daughter, Lynda Harris and husband, Vernon, of Mason and Granbury; daughter, Joan Winze and husband, Robert, of Arlington; sisters, Mabel Sybilrud, Pearl Larson and Dorothy Higgins, all of Belmond Iowa; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous family members and friends.
