ZELEON EUGENE JOHNSON 1920-2002

Fifty-seven year Ridgecrest resident Zeleon Eugene Johnson passed away, Thursday, November 21, 2002 of natural causes at his residence. He was 82. Funeral services are set for Monday, November 25, 2002 at 10 am at the Masonic Lodge. Past Master Eli Hrrison will officiate. Interment will be at Desert Memorial Park. Visitation is set for Sunday, November 24, 2002 from 2 to 5 pm at the Holland & Lyons Chapel. The family requests all contributions be made to Masonic Lodge No. 684, 625 N. Norma St. Ridgecrest CA 93555.

Zeleon Johnson was born January 29, 1920 in Dows, Iowa. A painter by trade, he worked and later retired in 1974 from the Naval Weapons Center, China Lake. He was a life member of the Masonic Lodge No. 684.

Mr. Johnson is survivedby his wife of 61 years Mary Johnson, son Michael Z. Johnson of Marino Valley; daughters Joyce and her husband Robert D. Carty of Reno, Nev., Nora K. and her husband Charles Arnold of Ridgecrest, sister-in-law Carol Huntley, grandchildren (6) Michael E. Johnson, Jeffrey Z. Johnson, Joelle C. Beckingham, Jeanette I. Carty, Jon R. Carty and Robert Kinstle III, great-grandchildren (9) Ashleigh Johnson, Rachel Johnson, Savannah Johnson, Jeffrey Johnson II, Alyssa Johnson, Kyle Beckingham, Kevin Beckingham, Kahlilah Kilgore and Derrick Meyer Carty.

ZELEON EUGENE JOHNSON

Zeleon Eugene Johnson died Nov. 21, 2002 at his Ridgecrest residence. He was 82. Funeral services were held Nov. 25 at Masonic Lodge. Past Master Eli Harrison officiated.

Mr. Johnson was born Jan. 29, 1920 in Dows, Iowa. A previous resident of Los Angeles, he moved to Ridgecrest in 1945. Before retirement in 1974, he was employed as a painter at the Naval Weapons Center, China Lake. He was a life member of Masonic Lodge No. 684 and was an avid outdoorsman.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years Mary, son Michael Z. Johnson of Marino Valley, daughters Joyce and husband Robert D. Carty of Reno, Nev. and Nora K. and husband Charles Arnold of Ridgecrest; sister-in-law Carol Huntley; grandchildren Michael E. Johnson, Jeffrey Z. Johnson, Joelle C. Beckingham, Jeannette I. Carty, Jon R. Carty and Robert M. Kinstle III and great-grandchildren Ashleigh Johnson, Rachel Johnson, SavannahJohnson, Jeffrey Johnson II, Alyssa Johnson, Kyle Beckingham, Kevin Beckingham, Kahlilah Kilgore and Derrick Meyer Carty.
