RUTH ELIZABETH (BECKETT) WILSON, 81, of Little Rock passed away on Tuesday February 12, 2008, at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center, following a brief illness. She was born April 28, 1926 to James Perry and Lorene Susanna (Jacobs) Beckett on a farm outside Clarion (Wright County) Iowa. She moved with her husband, James Sanford Wilson, and three children to Little Rock in 1950 and lived in the same home for over fifty years. She was a Christian, having accepted the Lord as a young woman and was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church. She was also a 41 year member of Brady Chapter #634 of the Order of the Eastern Star and served that organization three times as Worthy Matron. She enjoyed life, loving her family, reading books and the newspaper, and watching her "Soaps" on TV. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 41 years, Jim; five brothers: James, Robert, Harold, Charles, and Richard Beckett, all of Iowa; and two sisters: Janet Beckett of Iowa and Margery Hines of Mountain Home, Ark.; and one nephew: Judd Beckett. She is survived by two sons: James Robert Wilson (Lidia) of Elm Grove, La., and Bruce Wilson (Myra) of North Little Rock; and one daughter: Susan Allbritton (Dan) of Benton. She is also survived by five grandchildren, James Wilson of Bossier City, La., Lt. Cdr. Benjamin Allbritton (Moira) of San Diego, Calif., Daniel Allbritton (Julie) of Benton, Matthew Allbritton (Toni) of Richmond Hills, Ga., and Raymond Wilson (Jasmin) of Little Rock. She was a proud great-grandmother of 10, Timothy, Jack, Jamie, Charlie, Jessica, Josh, Caleb, Alexandria, Breezy, Windy. She is also Survived by six nieces and nephews.
