Frances Sadoff, 87, Pullman

Frances Sadoff, 87, a longtime Pullman resident, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, at Avalon Care Center in Pullman, Washington of age-related causes.

Frances was born June 22, 1916, in Westingeon, S.D., to Aaron and Fannie Cooperstandt Sadoff. She was raised in Clarion, Iowa, where she attended school and graduated from high school. Frances graduated from Northern Iowa University and later from the University of Michigan with her master's degree. She taught high school in Ann Arbor, Mich. In 1946, Frances moved to Pullman, where she was an associate professor at Washington State University in the management and administrative systems department. She retired in 1982. Frances was a great humanitarian. She loved the arts and was an advocate of good works. Frances was also an accomplished painter.

She is survived by two brothers, Max Sadoff of Mill Creek, Wash., and Jacob Sadoff of San Diego; one sister, Beulah Sadoff, who also lives in California; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. According to Frances' wishes, no service is planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Kimball Funeral Home in Pullman.
