ROCK HILL, SC - Mr. Clyffard Lawrence Brunson, 73, of 1387 Woodhurst Drive died Monday, Aug. 13, 2001, at Piedmont Medical Center. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour, with Father Charles Foss and Deacon Al Bowling officiating. Burial will be private.

A native of Eagle Grove, Iowa, Mr. Brunson was a son of the late Mark V. Brunson and Eva Mae Dorem Brunson. He retired in 1987 from General Motors Oldsmobile division in Lansing, Mich., with 32 years of service. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II. Surviving are his wife, Juan Williamson Brunson; his son, Michael Brunson of Hopatcong, N.J.; two daughters, Deby Petz of Silver Spring, Md. and Brooke Matthews of Flat Rock, Mich.; his sister, Jean Byrl Lindhart of Jefferson, Iowa; and three grandchildren. The family will receive friends after the service and other times at home. Memorials may be made to American Lung Association, 1817 Gadsden St., Columbia, SC 29201.
