STREATOR, IL - Patrick J. McClernon, 81, of rural Streator, Illinois died at 7:45 a.m. Sunday (Sept. 16, 2001) at his residence. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, rural Streator, with the Rev. Charles McCarthy will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Streator. Memorials may be made to St. Margaret's Hospital Fund Hospice Resource.

He was born Jan. 14, 1920, in Belmond, Iowa, the son of Joseph M. and Annie Noonan McClernon. He married Gail Robertson on Jan. 14, 1970. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Kevin McClernon, Streator; and Ethan (Theresa) McClernon, Minonk; a brother, Raymond A. (Kathie) McClernon, Lees Summit, Mo.; two sisters, Loretta McClernon and Helen Frandsen, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Francis McClernon, Donald McClernon and Gerald McClernon in infancy.
