Harold Roberts, 77, Mentor, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 1988, in Riverview Nursing Home, Crookston, Minnesota. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Faith Lutheran Church, Mentor, Minn. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, in Petterson Funeral Home, Red Lake Falls, and one hour before services in the church.

Harold Roberts was born Aug. 8, 1911, in Boone Township of Wright County, Iowa, the son of Charles and Esther Roberts. He worked in the oil fields in Kansas, farmed in Polk County, worked for Vigen Construction, East Grand Forks, at the missile site near Nekoma, N.D., and for American Crystal Sugar in Crookston until he retired in 1981. On Dec. 14, 1941, he married Doris M. Rude in Crookston.

She survives along with a son, Kenneth, Tulsa, Okla.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and brother, Earle, Cleveland, Okla. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Dale Thomas; and sisters, Leta, Grace and Velva.
