FRANKLIN, TN -- Glenice Marie Blough, 94, died Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at Southern Care in Franklin. Blough was born in Watonga, Okla., daughter of the late Ira David and Hattie Irene Howland Halvorsen. She made her home in Michigan but moved to Franklin nine years ago. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II as a nurse. She also was a homemaker. Blough was a member of Missionary Church in Union, Mich., and a member of Brentwood Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold M. Blough, and brother Phillip Halvorsen. Survivors include: her sons, Danny (Kay) Blough of Dowagiac, Mich., Tom (Linda) Blough of Franklin and Tim Blough of Lebanon, Tenn.; brothers David Halvorsen of Chattanooga and Arlin Halvorsen of Salem, Ore.; five grandchildren, Cindy Hemenway, Glenn Blough, Brian Blough, and Jessica and Rebekah Beasley; and three great-grandchildren, Deila Blough and Taylor and Hunter Hemenway.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, 3009 Columbia Ave. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Newberg in Jones, Mich., with the Rev. Mike Owen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Inurnment will be at Poes Cemetery with military honors. Memorials may be made to Tennessee Baptist Adult Homes, 5001 Maryland Way, Brentwood, TN 37027.
