Mardean Dawn Korth, 64, died on Thursday, February 23, 2006, at the Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City. Funeral services were held on Monday, February 27, 2006, at 10:30 a.m., at the Morgan United Methodist Church, rural Dows. Burial was in the Morgan Township Cemetery, rural Dows. The Ewing Dugger Helgeson Funeral Home, Latimer, was in charge of the arrangements.

Mardean was born March 24, 1941 in rural Dows. Parents were Theodore Jr. and Ethel (Ryan) Korth. Mardean remained at home and was an Avon representative for over 20 years. Survivors include two sisters: Melody Jennings and Jackie (Paul) Sandersfield of Latimer; one brother, Norval (Denise) Korth of Dows; five nieces: Danielle Jennings, Tonia, Jenna and Kendra Sandersfield and Janette Birdwell; two nephews: Torie and Tracy Korth; great-nephews Cole Jennings and Seth Yoders and Madison and Kennedy Korth, her great nieces.
