GARNER -- Barry Bridges, 37, of Garner, died Thursday (Jan. 16, 1997) at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert T. Ellis officiating. The Garner Veterans Ceremonial Unit will conduct a flag presentation ceremony at the funeral service. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Dows. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Barry Lynn Bridges was born Nov. 19, 1959, in Hampton. Survivors include his parents, Ronald and Darlene Bridges of Garner; three brothers, Michael Bridges and Blair Bridges, both of Garner, and Danny Bridges of Dows; two sisters, Connie Steffen and Calleen Mehmen, both of Garner; his maternal grandmother, Esther Conrad of Britt; and his paternal grandmother, LaVon Bridges of Dows. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and his paternal grandfather.
