HAMPTON — Mabel V. Lambertsen, 68, of Hampton, died Thursday (Dec. 9, 2004) at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Aredale United Methodist Church in Aredale, with the Rev. Terra Amundson officiating. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery in rural Geneva. Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton.

Mabel was born on Dec. 30, 1935, in Story City, to Charles and Amelia (Fink) Howard. She was raised in Dows and graduated from Dows High School. She was united in marriage to Albert A. Lambertsen on April 23, 1954, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She was a farm wife until retiring. She was a member of Aredale United Methodist Church. She was a member of the E-Z Going Club. She loved her flower gardens, watching her grandchildren in sports, cooking, entertaining family and friends.

She is survived by two sons, Michael and wife, Vicky Lambertsen, of Rockwell, and Dennis "Buck" and wife, Pat Lambertsen, of Aredale; a daughter, Sherry Peterson and her husband, Dwight, of Dumont; two brothers, Don Howard, of Dows, and Homer Howard, of Dows; two sisters, Linda Sheridan, of Cannon Falls, Minn.; sister, Mary Howard, of Dows; grandchildren, Toni and husband, Gordon Lambertsen-Clayton, Cory and wife, Melissa Lambertsen, Trent Lambertsen, Kelli Lambertsen, Ryan Peterson, Travis Peterson, Rachel Peterson, Crystal Peterson, and Katie Peterson; great-grandchild, Anais Lambertsen-Clayton. Preceded in death by parents and husband, Albert. Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home.
