September 11, 1952Mrs. B. LaRue Is Found Dead
Friends and relatives were shocked to hear of the passing of Mrs. Bernice LaRue who was found where she had been stricken with a hemorrhage of the brain. She was found by her son about 3 p.m. Tuesday and probably had passed away Monday evening while preparing her evening meal.
Last rites were held Friday at the Greenfield funeral home in Hampton with Rev. D. M. Beggs conducting the service. She was laid to rest by her husband in the Hampton cemetery.
Bernice Margaret Corbin was born at Dows July 11, 1892 and passed away Sept. 1, 1952. She was joined in marriage to Charles LaRue and lived around Dows, Sheffield and Thornton until they purchased a home in Rowan, moving there in February 1948. One week later Mr. LaRue passed away. To this union two sons, Robert and Norman were born. These sons live on farms near Meservey and Thornton.
