There will be no funeral services for Helen L. Novak, 84 of Rice, Minnesota who died Friday at the Foley Nursing Home. Private burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls. Arrangements are being made by the Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids.
Helen was born April 20, 1923 in Wright County Iowa to Elmer & Bertha (Allen) Linaweaver [Lineaweaver?]. She married Carl J. Novak on May 5, 1955 in Oneida, IL. They lived in Galesburg, IL and later moved to Benton County.
Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Schultz of Galesburg, IL; Pauline Sobania of Rice; step daughter, Bernie Walker Novak of Tucson, AZ; grand-children, Vicki Schultz, Mike Schultz, Wendy Schultz, Theresa Walker, Mary Walker, Nancy Costilon, Yolonda Lewandowski, Lacy Anderson, many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters and brother, Myrtle Philhower, Sylvia Struder, Dollie Carrington, and Edwin Linaweaver.
