Irene Woods Holliman, 93, of Crestview Acres Retirement Center in West Des Moines died of pneumonia Saturday at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McLaren's Funeral Chapel, with burial at Woolstock Township Cemetery in Woolstock.

Mrs. Holliman was born in Laurel and had lived in Iowa Falls, Montreal, Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Pella before moving to West Des Moines five years ago. She was a retired employment counselor with the state of Alabama and had served in the WACS. She was a member of Ashworth Road Baptist Church and enjoyed playing the organ and violin.

A sister, Patricia Garvin of West Des Moines, survives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy. Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
