JOPLIN, Mo. — Curtis Mack Beauchamp, age 75, of Joplin, passed away at 3:51 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at his home. Curtis was born on Dec. 17, 1932, in Auburn, Ky., to Esbon and Harriet (Browning) Beauchamp. He moved to the Joplin area from Belmond, Iowa in 1971. He served as a medic in the Air Force during the Korean War. Curtis worked for Doane Products as a plant manager for 19 years, retiring in 1988. Curtis was married to Juanita Clevenger on July 1, 1957, in Toledo, Ohio. She survives. Additional survivors include two sons, Jim and Clay Beauchamp, both of Joplin; two daughters, Lisa Smallwood, of Joplin, and Tracy Allen and her husband, Steve, of Lexington, S.C.; one brother, Tilden Beauchamp, of Auburn; and two sisters, Francis Soyars and Lucy Kennedy, both of Russellville, Ky. Curtis had seven loving grandchildren, Ben, Adam, Amy, Shane, LeeAnne, Samantha and Sarah; and two great-grandchildren, Madison and Brooklyn. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Pastor Tim Ohlmann will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Trinity Hospice in care of the mortuary. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Chapel.
