October 6, 2006Dale Carl Johnson, 29, formerly of Britt, IA passed away Monday, October 2, 2006, at his home in Savage, Minnesota. Funeral services for Dale Johnson will be held Saturday, October 7, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at the Britt Christian Reformed Church with Pastor Joel DeBoer officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Britt. Visitation will be held Friday, October 6, 2006, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Ewing Dugger Funeral Chapel in Britt and continue one hour prior to services at the church.
Dale, the son of Peggy (Otto) Miller and Marvin Johnson, was born July 27, 1977, in Belmond, Iowa. He attended kindergarten in Kanawha and grades 1-12 in Britt, graduating with the class of 1995. After graduating from Hamilton Business College in Mason City, Dale became an entrepreneur of his sole computer repair business called MinnesoTech. Dale was a member of the Business Network International. Dale was confirmed in the Britt Congregational Church. Dale played football in high school and was a member of the state playoff team that went to the UNI Dome. He was also a state champion trap shooter in the youth division. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, but his favorite pastime was fishing with Allison. Dale loved his cats, Mr. Peepers and Smokey. Dale had a great sense of humor that he shared with his friends. Everyone who met Dale was touched by him.
Dale is survived by his fiance. Allison Weber of Savage, Minnesota; her parents, [Don Peacock] and Mary Weber; and her brother, Ben of Bloomington; his mother, Peggy Miller and her husband, Jim, of Britt; his sisters, Katie and Jennifer Miller of Britt; his father, Marvin Johnson and his wife, Marlys, of Kanawha; his brother, Dallas Johnson and his wife, Angie, and their son, Jackson of Kanawha; his sister, Brittney Johnson of Kanawha; and his grandfather, Kenneth Otto of Kanawha. Dale was preceded in death by his grandparents, Shirley Otto, Carl and Anna Johnson, Monty and Millie Miller, John and Phyllis Omvig. Ewing Dugger Funeral Chapel 178 Center Street West Britt, IA.
