Steven Joseph Carson, 58, a longtime resident of Edmond, OK, passed away on December 14, 2007. Steven is survived by his wife of 36 years, Carolyn Ann; their two sons, Stuart James Carson and Christopher Cunningham Carson; his two sisters, Mary Margaret Mackland and Patty Ann Forth; his two brothers, John Howard Carson and Michael Thomas Carson; and his three nephews and four nieces. Steven was born April 10, 1949 in Tulsa to John Howard Carson and Dorothy Maxine Plunkett Carson of Eagle Grove, Iowa. After graduating from Tulsa Central High School in 1967, he received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1973. As the Design Engineer for UEC Manufacturing and for Autoquip, Inc., he developed three patented designs and became a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers. Steven, a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, served as a Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus in 1975. Friends in the Oklahoma City area will also remember him as President of Silver Spur OKC and Kalico Kapers Square Dance Clubs and Vice President of the Central District Square Dance Association. To honor his life, a Rosary is scheduled for Tuesday, December 18th, at 7:00 PM at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 S. Broadway, Edmond. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at 2:00 PM. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Ninth and Boulevard in Edmond.
