Harriet G. Hecklinger, 94, died Dec. 8, 2007, at Hospices of the Treasure Coast in Stuart. She was born in Belmond, Iowa, and lived in Stuart for 23 years, coming from Colrain, Mass. She worked for Waterloo, Iowa, public schools for six years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Stuart. She was a member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization, Art Associates of Martin County, Deerfield Valley Art Association in South Deerfield, Mass., and the Board of Organized Work of the Franklin County Hospital in Greenfield, Mass. Survivors include her daughter, Ann Panhorst of Stuart; son, Tom L. Hecklinger of Greenfield, Mass.; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions can be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 S.E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997. SERVICES: A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 12 at Aycock Funeral Home in Stuart.
